To the creators of Friday Night Lights:

I realize I'm about five years late to this party. That doesn't change the fact that this is may be one of the best television dramas I've ever had the pleasure of viewing. This is saying a lot; if Veronica Mars (the show) asked me right now, I'd walk down the aisle with it.

Here's the deal, though. I don't feel you can accurately portray high school football in the South without at least once panning across a chain link fence sitting on the edge of a frontage road or interstate, filled with styrofoam cups dutifully placed by the pep squad, spelling out some bit of encouragement or school spirit.

I still have four seasons and some change to go. But if I never see this shot, I will respect you just a tiny bit less.
